Privacy notice
LarongKalye · version 1 · last updated 2 November 2026 · written for parents and guardians in the Philippines (Data Privacy Act of 2012, RA 10173).
The short version
- Playing needs no account, and a child who plays without one sends nothing about themselves.
- We never ask for a child's full name, birthday, address, phone number or photo.
- No ads. We never sell, rent or share your data.
- You can delete a child, or the whole family account, yourself, at any time.
Who is responsible
LarongKalye is made and run by an independent developer in the Philippines, who is responsible for the data described here. You can reach us under Your choices below.
What we keep
If a family chooses to back up the game and play on other devices, we keep:
- the family email address, the time the family agreed to this notice, when the account was made and when the family last opened the app;
- for each child: a first name or nickname and the picture the family chose;
- for each child who uses a secret code: only a scrambled (hashed) form of the code, never the pictures or numbers themselves;
- for each child: the character's look and the pet and outfit pieces the child picked, so the same character is there on every device;
- for each child: their level and XP and their best score in each game, so progress follows them to another device;
- the cheers that children in the same family send each other (which cheer, when, and how many), so a family can cheer one another on.
Nothing else about how a child plays is sent to the cloud. We do not collect game results, rounds played or play history from a child's device for the cloud.
If you unlock the game
You pay by scanning a QR code in your own banking or payment app. We keep the Reference No. you type from your receipt, the amount (199 pesos) and the date, only to match your payment to your family. We never see your card, account number or password, and we do not keep a picture of your receipt.
Like any bank transfer, the payment also appears in our bank account record with whatever your bank sends, such as the sender's name. We do not copy it into the app.
A small record of the payment (the Reference No., the date and an internal family ID, with no name) stays after an account is deleted, so the same payment cannot unlock two families and our accounts stay correct. You can ask us to remove it.
Why
To back up the game, keep it the same on the family's devices, and match payments to families. We use nothing for any other purpose.
Where it is kept and who can see it
The data is stored with a trusted cloud service provider. Its servers may be outside the Philippines, and the data is encrypted when it is sent and when it is stored. The family password is handled by the provider's sign-in service, so we never see it. Only the signed-in family can read and change its own data.
The person who runs the app can read the data described here, to give support, to check payments and to see totals such as how many families use the app. That includes a family's email address, the children's nicknames and levels, and the payments and unlocks. It does not include anything else about how a child plays.
A child who plays without a family login sends nothing about themselves. The app only adds one to an anonymous daily count (a date and a number) the first time a device is opened that day, so we can see roughly how many people tried it. No name, nickname, progress, device ID or IP address is sent with it.
Like most websites, our pages load their fonts from an outside font service, which can see a device's IP address and browser type when the page opens. Nothing about the child is sent with that request.
No ads. We do not sell, rent or share the data with anyone else.
How long
Until the family deletes it, apart from the small payment record described above. Playing without an account sends nothing about the child.
Your choices
- Delete a child and everything saved for that child: open the account page, tap the delete button next to the child and type your password.
- Delete the whole family account and everything in it: open the account page, then Delete this family account. This cannot be undone.
- Ask a question, or ask us to delete data for you: Email us.
A parent or guardian must agree to this notice before creating an account for their children. Signing in is optional: the game works without it.
Progress that is saved on a tablet stays on that device until the browser data is cleared. Deleting the account in the cloud does not erase another device's local copy.
Saved progress on a device carries a checksum, so a change made outside the app is noticed and the last saved copy is used instead. A random key for this stays on that device and is never sent to the cloud.
If this notice changes in a way that matters, we will ask for your agreement again.
